Having been raised in New York, I’m the type of girl who PRAYS for snow in Virginia. It just doesn’t feel like wintertime (or Christmas for that matter) without it. Yet I know how unrealistic it is for us to have snow this early in December, so when the forecast predicted a few inches, I held my breath. Not only would a snowfall be delightful, but I also had this beautiful family’s portrait session scheduled for the same day. Virginia families only dream of having winter portraits with real snow, so I knew the Hahns would still be on board to brave the cold!

And let me tell you, this session was simply MAGICAL! A winter wonderland forest for a backdrop…the snow gently falling around them…that sweet family love written across each face…it was just perfect. I’m so glad you couldn’t hear me squealing with delight as I edited these! There were SO many favorites to choose from – I hope you enjoy just a few from this snowy session!
