Ari + Mi-Mi | Natural Bridge Wedding | Virginia

Ever since moving to Virginia almost a decade ago (I truly cannot believe it’s already been that long!), I have been told to visit the famous Natural Bridge. What I didn’t know, was that the first time I would lay eyes on this historic site would be when we were there to photograph a wedding! Melissa of Melissa Batman Photography had recently had an emergency, so we stepped in to photograph this Natural Bridge wedding.

Ari and Mi-Mi are an extraordinary couple with an extraordinary story. They met in less than glamorous circumstances while serving in the Peace Corps in Mozambique. Mi-Mi recounted that later on when Ari was game for accompanying her on one of her bucket list adventures, she knew he was the one. That bucket list item? Diving with great white sharks! I don’t know about you, but that takes an immense amount of courage and love!

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, these two enjoyed their laid back Natural Bridge wedding regardless of the heat, the intermittent rain, and the countless tourists passing by the whole day. Ari and Mi-Mi danced the night away (and even got a game or two of Twister in!), and we left that night knowing we had witnessed a special union that was hundreds and thousands of miles and adventures in the making. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.! Here’s to the next adventure!
