A sweet and adventurous couple?! 360 mountain views? All the YES to this romantic mountain top engagement session!
Over the past few years, I’ve thankfully had a pretty good sense of when to postpone or reschedule a session due to weather, and this past weekend almost ended that streak! This spring has been unusually rainy for Virginia, and we’d already had to reschedule this sweet couple’s engagement session cause it just. kept. raining. There was a small chance of precipitation during our session but it kept getting pushed back. If I’ve learned anything about living in Virginia for the past few years it’s that the weather is incredibly fickle, so I hoped that we’d be fine for the predicted window of sunshine. So we went for it.
PJ and I were not even half way to the mountain and it started POURING. Like full out downpour, lighting, thunder, the whole shebang. We immediately started praying, and we are so thankful that by the time we got to the base of the mountain, the storm had passed, and the most beautiful golden sunshine graced the mountainside in anticipation of the beauty and elegance of Josh and Leanna’s love! These two could not have picked a more perfect location for their engagement session – Cole Mountain (also known as Cold Mountain) is breathtaking, and full of special memories from their relationship.
Josh and Leanna met at their church and are a wonderful example of God’s grace and provision working through surrendered hearts. Even through our brief time of knowing them, it is evident that they share a unique and Christ-centered love that will enable them to make a great team in marriage. Josh and Leanna, we loved our adventure of a time with you both on top of Cole Mountain, and we simply cannot wait for your wedding!
Enjoy *some* of my favorites from this romantic mountain top engagement session!
