When Alex and Kayla told us that they wanted to do their engagement session at Cole Mountain, I’m pretty sure I leapt for joy. Cole Mountain is one of our FAVORITE spots in central Virginia. Though we have only been a handful of times, it’s the type of place that we always say we should visit more often. The 360 mountain views are breathtaking and we could literally stay on this serene mountain for hours.

Engagement sessions always feel like a double date and we were beyond excited to meet up with Alex and Kayla and let them experience Cole Mountain for their first time! Of course, the day we had scheduled for their session turned out to be one of the coldest days this fall, but let me tell you, these two were TROOPERS. Though the short hike to the top wasn’t overly freezing, the temperature dropped rapidly while we were shooting! We didn’t last too long, as shooting in 27 degrees isn’t the most pleasant (none of us could feel our fingers by the end!), but we had such a blast with Alex and Kayla and are SO excited to share their engagement session at Cole Mountain with you!

Alex and Kayla, you guys are a phenomenal couple and it has been so fun getting to know you two! We are so pumped for your wedding next fall at Burlington Plantation – it can’t get here soon enough!
